What methods of payment do you accept?

I currently accept all major credit cards via my website’s online store. At this time, this is the only method of payment I accept. If you’re having any trouble with the payment processor, please reach out to me at lara@chromasongs.com for support.

Do you offer returns?

All sales are final except in the case of damage to a product during shipping. If possible, please alert the courier to the damage so they can coordinate a return. As well, please contact me at lara@chromasongs.com with pictures of the damaged product, its packaging, and its purchase receipt and so I can get the return process started.

How long does it take to ship a custom, commissioned painting?

The sketching stage usually takes a week for the first sketch, and then however long it takes for us to settle on the final draft. The painting stage usually takes two weeks. Varnishing takes one week. Creating the custom packaging to safely deliver your painting takes another week. Shipping times vary depending on your location, please see here for estimates.

How long does it take to ship a store-bought painting?

Please allow 1-2 weeks to process your order, while I create your custom packaging for safe shipment. It is advisable to measure out the painting using the dimensions above, to make sure it will fit your space perfectly. In-situ images are not to be used as a guide.

How do you calculate shipping costs?

Shipping costs are calculated using your product’s dimensions, weight, and your delivery address. I exclusively use UPS for shipping because of the service’s reliability for other artists in my community. Your checkout form contains a link to the calculator so you can get an estimated cost of your shipping. You can view the calculator now by clicking here.

Because I cannot guarantee the proper handling of your products during the shipping process, I always use as much packaging as needed to properly protect your shipments from damage. As a result, larger paintings require more packaging, which makes them more expensive to ship, whereas smaller paintings require less packaging making them cheaper to ship. If you have any questions about shipping your product, please contact me at lara@chromasongs.com.

Can I cancel my order?

If your contact me within 48 hours of your payment confirmation time, or your product has not yet shipped (whichever comes first), you can contact me at lara@chromasongs.com to cancel your order. Once the order is cancelled, your payment will be refunded to the credit card you used to pay for the order.

Does the product image show the actual product being shipped?

Yes! Product pictures are unique to each product, so the product you see on the store is what it will look like when you receive it. However, keep in mind that all computer monitors display colour differently, so your painting may differ slightly in colour from the image you see onscreen.

Are there taxes included with my order?

Not yet! Because I am currently only a small supplier of goods in Canada, I am not required to have a Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) number, and am not required to collect taxes by charging customers HST on their orders.

If you have any questions about taxes on Chroma Songs products please contact me at lara@chromasongs.com, or visit the Canada Revenue Agency HST page for more information.

Will I be required to pay duties on international orders?

Any extra taxes or duties due in the country you chose to ship your product to will be your responsibility to pay. Please check with your local customs authority for an estimate of potential duties.
